Talk by Denis Lanigan at the Faculty of Information Studies,
University of Toronto, 140 St George Street - Room 205.

Places
Lecture by Trevor Lloyd. Sponsored by the William Morris
Society of Canada. At Metro Reference Library (Beeton West
room) at Yonge Street and Asquith Avenue The library is one
block north of Yonge and Bloor. From subway take the west
exit onto Yonge Street and walk 150 yards north. Parking is
available in the Hudson Bay Centre (south side of Asquith

Arts and Crafts Architecture in Toronto: Tangible Links
between Eden Smith and William Morris
Talk by Douglas Brown. Sponsored by the William Morris
Society of Canada, In the Music Room of the Grange, Art
Gallery of Ontario. Refreshments will be served, (including
Birthday Cake) and a toast will be given in honour of
William Morris, whose birthday falls on 24 March. Cost $12
per person IMPORTANT: To reserve your ticket for the Grange
Spring lecture and William Morris Birthday celebration,
telephone the Art Gallery at 979-6648 and ask for ticket
reservation. Your tickets will be held in your name; you
will be able to pick them up on the day of the lecture.
Enter through the Art Gallery of Ontario main entrance.
Fellow members will be on hand to guide you through to the
Music Room of the Grange. On TTC, the closest subway is St
Patrick; the 505 Dundas streetcar goes right past the Art
Gallery.

Mosaic, makers of products designed by Morris and his
associates. Limited to 25 people.

Yuletide Party
William Morris Society of Canada annual Yuletide party,
hosted by Eleanor Moorhouse at 57 Metcalfe Street, Toronto.
This event is for members only, due to space limitations. As
usual, it will be a pot luck party and we are dividing the
group into two - those members whose last names begin A - N
are requested to bring a savoury dish (e.g. pie, cheese,
cold meat, meat loaf, potato salad etc. but nothing that
needs heating) and those whose last names begin 0 - Z are
requested to bring a dessert. Of course, also bring along a
bottle of your favourite beverage, as usual. Cofflee and tea
will be provided. "Masters in This Hall" will be sung along
with other carols! If you have any questions, please call
