This year's Modern Language Association annual
convention will take place 27-30 December in San
Francisco. As usual the dates fall between Christmas and New
Year's and, as usual, the William
Morris Society in the United States has organized
several events--sessions of papers and (to be announced
later) a social gathering or museum visit.

Members of the William Morris Society are invited to
attend the publication party for menber Peter Stansky's new
book, Another Book That Never Was. We welcome aslso
members of the Society for the History of Authorship,
Readership, and Publishing (SHARP). The Book Club is located
about a five-minute walk from the MLA convention
hotel.
