William Morris Events in New Zealand

14 March - 29 June - Morris & Co. The World of William Morris. Exhibition at Christchurch Art Gallery (organized by the Art Gallery of South Australia), accompaniend by lecutres, performances, a one-day conference, and an auxillary display of fine printing inspired by the Kelmscott Press.

13 August - 18 November - The Rossettis Return to Vasto. Exhibition at Pallazo d'Avalos, Vasto

William Morris Events in Japan

Until 9 November - Life and Art: Arts & Crafts from Morris to Mingei. Exhibition at National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, specially created for Japan, following the V&A’s International Arts and Crafts exhibition, which was shown in London in 2005. The work of William Morris and his influence on the Arts and Crafts Movement forms an important aspect to the exhibition, which features a room set inspired by Kelmscott Manor.

4 October - A Small Whirlpool of Industry: The Collaborative Genius of Morris & Company. Kelmscott Lecture by Peter Cormack, formerly keeper of the William Morris Gallery.

18 October - Recital by Quintetti, retiring collection, at Kelmsoctt House.

30 October - Visit to the Wellcome Institute Library. The Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine (183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE) holds a large numbe rof books from Morris's library.

1 November - The Enigma of Jane Morris. Lecture by J. B. Bullen, at Kelmscott House.

29 November - The Secret Life of Morris & Co at Hampton Court Palace, 1912-1941. Lecture by Jenny Murray Bond, at Kelmscott House.
