William Morris (1896-1996): A Celebration of World Citizenship
Professor Hélio Osvaldo Alves, Professor of British Studies at the University of Minho, is organizing in the large auditorium there a Symposium on Morris for the Instituto de Letras e Ciências Humanas, Universidade de Minho, Campus de Gulatar, Braga 4710 Portugal. It will have the participation of five Morris scholars from four Portuguese universities, together with Ashton Nichols, Nicholas Salmon and Peter Faulkner who will deliver talks on Morris's social philosophy, politics and art. A small exhibition of Morris's and the Pre-Raphaelites' works will also be shown.
