Samderson Morris and Co. Products
Arthur Sanderson & Sons Ltd. were first commissioned to produce wallpapers for Morris and Co. in 1930. In 1940, when Morris and Co. went into liquidation, Sanderson bought from the receiver the wallpaper blocks and pattern books which were already in their possession and have continued, ever since, to block-print Morris wallpapers by hand in the traditional manner. During the last two decades Sanderson has introduced machine-printed wallpapers adapted from Morris and Co. designs along with textiles and paints. All the Morris-dervied and Morris-inspired products are now offered under the rubric of "Morris & Co." Sanderson wallpapers, textiles, and paints are sold through specialist retailers throughout the world. The company's website includes a history of the firm and its relation to William Morris.
